Vibration Breathing

Vibration Breathing is a free browser tool that sets your breathing rhythm by touch: rest a finger on the screen and your phone vibrates — a quickening series of short taps as you breathe in, long slow pulses as you breathe out. Relax runs 4 seconds in / 6 seconds out; Wake up runs 3 seconds in / 2 seconds out.

What do you need right now?

A simple breathing-rhythm guide, not a medical device. Nothing is measured, recorded or uploaded. Vibration needs a browser that supports it (most Android phones); Safari on iPhone and desktop browsers use a soft sound wave and light instead.

Common questions

How does Vibration Breathing work?

Pick Relax or Wake up, then rest a finger on the screen. Your phone vibrates in a rhythm: a quickening series of short taps while you breathe in, and long, slow pulses while you breathe out. Lift your finger and the vibration fades out; the session keeps going until you press Finish.

What rhythm does each mode use?

Relax: breathe in for 4 seconds and out for 6 seconds. Wake up: breathe in for 3 seconds and out for 2 seconds. There are no breath holds in either mode.

Why don’t I feel any vibration on my iPhone?

Safari on iPhone and desktop browsers do not support web vibration. On those devices the rhythm comes as a soft sound wave that swells as you breathe in and fades as you breathe out, plus light on screen. Turn your sound on or use headphones; there is a mute button.

Can I use it without touching the screen?

Yes. On a computer, hold down the mouse button or the space bar instead of a finger. The visual rhythm also works on its own, with or without sound.

Is this a medical tool?

No. It is a simple breathing-rhythm guide for everyday use, not a treatment or a medical device. Nothing is measured, recorded or uploaded.
