How to read your Ultrahuman Ring HRV

Ultrahuman rings show HRV and recovery-style scores in their app. Read them against your own recent nights, not against another device or another person.

What Ultrahuman shows

We have not verified from Ultrahuman’s own pages which HRV formula or time window its app uses, so we do not label it here.

Scores that combine several signals are the maker’s own algorithm; look at the HRV and resting heart rate underneath them.

HRV type: Not confirmed from official pages.

How to read it

Compare a night with your own usual range over the last weeks, not with another person or another device. A single low night is most often a reaction to something specific — a short night, alcohol, an infection, stress or hard training. Several days below your range together with a higher resting heart rate and feeling unwell are a reason to rest.

Scores such as Readiness, Recovery, Nightly Recharge or HRV Status are each maker’s own algorithm. Two devices on the same night can show different HRV numbers because they measure at different times and with different formulas; neither is “wrong”.

Can Ultrahuman connect to ONDA?

No public web API

We have not found an official public developer API from Ultrahuman, so we cannot offer a direct connection.

Through Apple Health

We have not confirmed that Ultrahuman writes HRV to Apple Health, so we do not promise that your Ultrahuman HRV will appear in ONDA. If your device is not Apple Watch, ONDA can still measure your pulse with the iPhone camera, along with a breathing-rate estimate. The camera gives pulse, not HRV.

Questions

Can ONDA read my Ultrahuman data?

Not directly: we have not found an official public API. ONDA can measure your pulse with the iPhone camera, and reads HRV from Apple Watch.

When a number is not the point

No HRV reading can tell you whether symptoms are serious. Whatever your device shows, call emergency services or get emergency care for: chest pain or pressure; fainting or near-fainting; severe shortness of breath; fast, strong or irregular heartbeat that does not settle at rest (including with dizziness); sudden confusion, weakness on one side, trouble speaking. This page is not medical advice and does not diagnose anything.
