Adrenaline

Epinephrine — the hormone that mobilizes the body for action; released by the adrenal medulla.

Adrenaline (epinephrine) is a hormone and neurotransmitter released by the adrenal medulla in response to stress or excitement. It prepares the body for rapid action.

Effects

  • Increased heart rate and blood pressure
  • Redirected blood flow to muscles
  • Dilated airways
  • Heightened alertness and focus
  • Increased blood sugar

Poison or Fuel?

Chronically elevated adrenaline contributes to anxiety and burnout. But in acute, controlled doses, it sharpens focus and provides energy for precision. Part 4 aims to use adrenaline as "fuel for precision" rather than a trigger for panic.
