Ultrahuman Ring Pro review

Оновлено 2026-09-06

Ultrahuman Ring Pro — ONDA review, scored 7.9/10
7.9
/ 10

The redesigned, subscription-free successor to the Ring Air — a category-leading 15-day battery and on-ring processing, and (unlike the Ring Air) available in the US. Promising, but too new for a long-term reliability verdict from a brand whose last ring had battery problems.

Best for buyers who want a subscription-free ring with an exceptional battery and are comfortable being early adopters of a redesigned product.

The Ultrahuman Ring Pro is Ultrahuman’s clean-sheet flagship, launched February 2026 for a one-time $479 with no subscription. It is also the company’s answer to a hard problem: the older Ultrahuman Ring Air is under a US import ban after Oura’s ITC patent win (effective October 2025), and the Ring Pro is the redesigned ring that gets Ultrahuman back on sale to US buyers. The headline is a category-defining ~15-day battery (versus 4–6 days on the Ring Air), plus a dual-core on-ring processor for localized machine-learning and improved heart-rate sensing, and "Jade," a real-time biointelligence layer. It keeps the Ring Air’s strengths — light, subscription-free, continuous HRV, strong sleep tracking — while directly targeting its worst flaw, battery reliability. The caveat is honesty: it is new, independent long-term validation is thin, and the brand’s previous ring was widely reported to fail within months, so the reliability win is promised, not yet proven.

Як ми оцінювали: Evidence-based assessment — scored from Ultrahuman specifications and early 2026 independent coverage of the Ring Pro launch. Not hands-on tested by ONDA; long-term reliability is not yet independently established.

Точність вимірювання HRV

8.0

Continuous HRV (SDNN/RMSSD), with improved sensors and an on-ring dual-core processor for localized processing. Continuous overnight signal in line with the better rings.

Якість сенсора та сигналу

8.0

Upgraded optical sensor array and processing over the Ring Air; improved heart-rate data per Ultrahuman. Clean signal at rest.

Точність відстеження сну

8.0

Carries over the Ring Air’s strong sleep tracking — among the better rings for sleep-stage agreement — with the new processing pipeline.

Доступ до даних та експорт

6.5

Lifelong access to your own data plus export, but still no truly open API. Unchanged from the Ring Air.

Носимість та батарея

8.0

The ~15-day battery is the standout — roughly triple the Ring Air — and directly targets the reliability complaint. Light and comfortable for 24/7 wear. Long-term durability is still unproven this early.

Застосунок і софт

7.5

The capable Ultrahuman app with add-on "PowerPlugs," now with the "Jade" real-time biointelligence layer. Feature-rich; polish still short of Oura.

Ціна та цінність

8.0

$479 one-time with no subscription is strong against Oura’s ring-plus-membership, and the long battery adds real everyday value — provided the reliability holds.

Плюси

  • +Category-leading ~15-day battery — roughly triple the Ring Air
  • +No subscription — one-time $479, lifelong access to your data
  • +On-ring dual-core processor and improved heart-rate sensing
  • +Available in the US, unlike the banned Ring Air

Мінуси

  • Too new for a proven long-term reliability verdict
  • Same brand whose previous ring had widely reported battery failures
  • Data access still middling — no fully open API
  • App polish still trails Oura; no display

Ціна: $479 one-time; no subscription (станом на 2026-09-06)

Why the Ring Pro exists

The Ultrahuman Ring Pro is not just a spec bump — it is a response to a legal wall. In 2025 Oura won an ITC patent case against Ultrahuman, and a US import ban on the Ultrahuman Ring Air took effect in October 2025. Rather than settle, Ultrahuman shipped a redesigned ring. The Ring Pro, launched February 2026, is that clean-sheet flagship: a one-time $479, no subscription, and — crucially — on sale to US buyers again.

Where it leads

The headline is battery: roughly 15 days per charge, about triple the Ring Air and the best in the category. On top of that, an on-ring dual-core processor handles localized machine-learning, heart-rate sensing is improved, and a "Jade" real-time biointelligence layer sits in the app. It keeps what made the Ring Air likable — featherweight, subscription-free, continuous HRV, strong sleep tracking — and aims squarely at its worst flaw.

Where to stay cautious

Honesty matters here. The Ring Air’s defining problem was batteries failing within months, and the Ring Pro’s biggest promise is battery. That is the right thing to fix, but it is a promise until independent long-term testing confirms it — from a brand with a recent reliability black eye. Data access is also unchanged: better than a closed ecosystem, short of a truly open API.

Who it is for

Choose the Ultrahuman Ring Pro if you want a subscription-free ring with an outstanding battery and you are comfortable being an early adopter of a redesigned product. If you want proven long-term reliability today, the Oura Ring 4 or RingConn Gen 2 are safer, and the Oura Ring 5 is the accuracy flagship if you accept its membership.
